About Lost in Wonder
We’re a group of people who love Edinburgh Fringe and love connecting with people… and we also love connecting with something bigger. We have all experienced the wonder of being faced with something mysterious, something inexplicable, something whose very essence is love. We call this mystery ‘God’, but you might have other names.
We’re here in Edinburgh running Lost in Wonder, an immersive experience of storytelling and spirituality for passers-by to explore. Be believe in the power of speaking and listening to each other’s stories and are here to create little moments of encounter in all the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh in August. We long for our souls to find rest in an unexpected moment of awe – to be lost in wonder and we invite you to experience the same.
Our team are all part of the Methodist Church, and this is a project in partnership with Methodist Church GB and the City of Edinburgh Methodist Church.
Come and be lost in wonder for as long as you need.
Why Penguines?
Stop. Look around you. Isn’t life weird?
Isn’t it weird that we talk with our mouths in different languages?
And totally bizarre that we can be incredibly happy and sad at the same time.
We love talking about how we’re weird, and how you’re weird, and how the world is weird – it is a thing of wonder. So, come and talk to us, and be lost in wonderful weirdness.
ps. Edinburgh Zoo is also famous for its Penguine Parade! We thought it would make people stop and wonder if they saw them wandering down the Royal Mile.
